Your Boothbay region beekeepers and honey lovers, Donna and Denny Denniston, make their honey on Barters Island, just past the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens. They are quick to say, they don’t actually make the honey, the BEES do! They have hives all around Barters Island and beyond.

Visit their retail store, BARTERS ISLAND BEES: Honey, Gifts, Art and Provisions at 957 Wiscasset Road in Boothbay. They sell only genuine Maine-Made products in their store!

Raw local ‘Runny’ honey, Bee Stinger hot honey and Maine Mousse, a line of creamed honey or 100% honey that has been gently stirred over a few days until it reaches a thick, creamy consistency. Maine Mousse is available in 6 organic fruit and spice varieties like Cinnamon, Ginger, Blueberry Lemon and Honey Butter. There’s a honey TASTING TABLE every day!

Our multi dealer shop is bursting with treasures and creative finds.  We are conveniently  located on Route 27 in Boothbay, with tons of free parking and easy access to load out your treasures.  Our shop is at the entrance of the 58 year-old Railway Village Museum, so be sure to plan a full day and visit the museum when you are done shopping!
